The Eastport Peninsula is a dynamic region of the province on the western border of Terra Nova National Park. It boasts of sandy beaches, hiking trails, a variety of festivals, farming communities and traditional fishing villages among its many attactions. It has much to offer families, the outdoor enthusiast, the photographer and those wishing to experience the hospitality of rural Newfoundland.

The community of Sandringham is your gateway to the peninsula, a community that owes its origins to the effort to encourage farming in the province. Eastport boasts of two beautiful beaches, a vibrant arts community, and a theatre which hosts a variety of festivals throughout the year. Salvage (pronounced with emphasis on the last syllable) has a rugged beauty that sets it apart from the other communities on the peninsula. Burnside and St. Chad's are picturesque communities that vibrate with visitors during the summer months. From Burnside you can take a one hour ferry ride to St. Brendan's an isolated island community. For many, "happy adventure" is an apt discription of their experience on the Eastport Peninsula.
